Meet The Founder
Yara's story begins in the beautiful ruins of Syria.
As a little girl, architectural masterpieces were her playground. These works of art taught her beauty, composition, and most importantly, design. "If something is well constructed," her father would say, "it will last forever." This idea is at the heart of Fovari.
By the time she moved to the US, she was 24 and heavily influenced by Lebanese fashion legends. Zuhair Murad. Elie Saab. And of course: Her mother’s closet.
In 2006, she launched her first private fashion label and boutique in Sarasota, Florida. From there she founded a lifestyle magazine: Femme Rouge. As her name was quickly gaining traction within design circles, her life took a turn. Yara was pregnant.
Her most important job title yet—Mom—awakened in Yara a new mission: To launch the world’s first sustainably built couture brand bridging the fashion from Yara’s childhood—the Middle East—with her adulthood—the West.
Voila, Fovari was born.
